When selected, I confirm I will be available for the Event dates and its pre-attempt practice dates/ briefing, etc. as relayed and required of me. I also understand that the success of the Attempt is based on everyone’s collective participation and cannot hold any Party accountable for the outcome and the GWR Adjudicator’s final decision if the Attempt does not succeed.

Calling all certified divers!

Join us in the Andaman Islands in November 2024 to set the Indian scuba diving Guinness World Record.

Your participation is key to this historic event

The Andaman & Nicobar Administration is organizing an attempt to set multiple underwater Guinness World Records at Radha Nagar, Swaraj Dweep in Andaman and Nicobar Islands in mid-November 2024. The records include:

Largest Flag unfurled underwater
Tallest human stack underwater
Longest Human chain underwater

To participate in the attempt to set the record for "Longest human chain underwater", recreational and certified Scuba Divers are invited. The event is tentatively scheduled from 11th to 17th November 2024 at Radha Nagar Beach No. 7, Swaraj Dweep, Andaman Islands.

Selection Criteria:

Only Indian nationals are eligible for this opportunity.
Minimum Certification required: Open Water Diver from any recognized WRSTC Training Agency.
Minimum logged dives required: 10 or more.
Participants need to submit the WRSTC Medical Form with a Doctor's 'Fit to dive' approval on page 3.
Participants must be above 18 years of age.

Preference will be given to:

Certified divers with certifications higher than Open Water Diver and more than 10 logged dives.
Divers with their own equipment.
The Andaman Administration will provide diving equipment as required, except for Prescription masks.

Selection Process:

A panel of Dive Professionals and ANC will select the final participants.
Participants above the age of 50 years must provide a Medical Fitness certificate.

Terms & Conditions:

Costs: All associated costs of travel, boarding & lodging, etc. will have to be borne by the selected participants. A list of participating hotels offering special GWR Attempt packages, if available, will be provided to potential participants.

This is a not-for-profit Event. Registration, selection, and participation are free of cost. However, if the GWR is successfully created, the following associated GWR costs must be borne by the final participants:

GWR participation Certificate: 15 GBP
GWR digital participation certificate: 03 GBP
GWR “GWR Medallion”: 05 GBP

Candidates are free to choose if they want to purchase either/both/none.
